Now we need a Growth Manager who lives it.
Why Your Equestrian Background is REQUIRED:
Because you understand things a generic DTC marketer never will:
  • Why a horse owner agonizes over a $200 blanket purchase but drops $500 on vet bills without blinking
  • That "waterproof" and "water-resistant" aren't interchangeable (and your customers know the difference)
  • Why the hunter/jumper crowd and the barrel racing crowd need completely different messaging
  • That seasonal timing isn't about "Q4 holiday push" -- it's about clipping season, show season, turnout season
  • Why trust matters more than price in this community (bad tack = dangerous tack)
  • That the person buying isn't always the person riding (hello, horse mom buying for her daughter)

But Wait -- You Also Need to BUILD with AI:
Here's where it gets specific. We don't just want an equestrian marketer. We want one who BUILDS with AI:
  • You've created automations using Zapier, Make, or similar platforms with AI integration
  • You've built custom apps, dashboards, or tools using AI assistance
  • You practice "vibe coding" -- using Claude or ChatGPT to build things daily
  • You've deployed agentic AI systems or AI-powered workflows in production
  • You have a hunger to automate everything and develop everyone around you

What You'll Own (Full-Stack Growth):
  • Paid Acquisition: Google, Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, influencer collabs with riders/trainers
  • Shopify Platform: Merchandising, UX, CRO, A/B testing (you know what "above the bit" means AND how to test a product page)
  • SEO Strategy: Educational content that converts (blanket weight guides, bit selection, boot fitting)
  • Amazon Execution: Marketplace growth, agency management
  • Analytics: CAC, LTV, cohorts, attribution (GA4, SQL)
  • AI Systems: Build automations that scale your output 10x
Your Equestrian Edge in Action:
  • Ad creative that speaks the language (not "horse equipment" -- "turnout blankets rated for 10-degree nights")
  • Landing pages that answer the questions riders actually ask
  • Influencer partnerships with authentic riders, not just anyone with followers
  • Product page optimization based on how equestrians actually shop
  • Seasonal campaigns timed to how horse owners actually buy
  • Content strategy built on genuine expertise, not keyword-stuffed generic copy
Compensation:
  • Base: $110K-140K
  • Bonus: 20-30% (tied to growth metrics you own)
  • Total: $132K-182K

  • Are an active/former rider or horse owner (any discipline welcome)
  • Have 5-7 years DTC e-commerce/growth marketing experience
  • Have BUILT AI tools, automations, or apps (portfolio required)
  • Know Shopify hands-on, GA4/SQL fluently
  • Want ownership, autonomy, and real impact
